CAF and PUMA unveil Afcon 2025 final match ball with Moroccan-inspired design
The Confederation of African Football and technical partner PUMA have revealed a commemorative edition of the official match ball for the Africa Cup of Nations final in Morocco. The hosts face Senegal at Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah on Sunday evening, with the champions of Africa set to be crowned.
The ball, named ITRI, will feature gold accents in tribute to both finalists. Its design is inspired by traditional Moroccan zellij geometric patterns, incorporating star shapes, floral outlines, and circular symmetry. Built on PUMA’s Orbita 6 technology, the ball blends cultural heritage with cutting-edge innovation, meeting elite competition standards while celebrating African identity.
This edition marks the culmination of the tournament, adding a symbolic touch to one of Africa’s most prestigious sporting events. The ITRI ball has been used throughout Afcon 2025, reflecting CAF and PUMA’s commitment to performance and excellence.
The tradition of introducing a new official ball for each Afcon continues, with designs tailored to the host nation’s culture. Egypt 2019 and Cameroon 2021 featured similarly distinctive styles, ensuring every edition is unique for players and fans.
CAF and PUMA’s partnership guarantees consistency for players while showcasing African culture to a global audience. On Sunday, the final will not only decide the continent’s champion but also highlight African design, innovation, and heritage on the world stage.
