Adidas unveil Ancient Egypt-inspired F50 boots for Mo Salah ahead of AFCON showdown
adidas has dropped a stunning new F50 boot for Mohamed Salah ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, with the Liverpool star handed a design fit for a king just weeks before AFCON kicks off.
Dubbed the F50 Salah, the boots is a bespoke Elite FG model created to honour the Egyptian forward’s status as one of the modern greats. Salah is expected to wear them during AFCON, where he’ll once again carry the hopes of a nation on his shoulders.
The design leans heavily into Salah’s roots. A crisp white upper is finished with sand-coloured, Egyptian-inspired lettering and detailing, taking cues from desert dunes and ancient heritage. It’s clean, sharp and very Salah – understated but impossible to ignore.
Gold Three Stripes run down the lateral side, matched by a gold F50 logo beneath. There’s another white F50 mark on the forefoot, while a white tongue with gold trim rounds off the look. It’s flashy without being loud, and adidas know exactly what they’re doing here.
Salah, who has scored over 150 goals for Liverpool and led Egypt to multiple AFCON finals, remains one of adidas’ biggest global stars. With AFCON looming, the timing feels deliberate. Big tournament. Big player. Big statement.
The boots are available now through selected retailers and online, and are already being tipped as one of the cleanest drops of the year. Expect them to sell fast, especially with Salah set to be front and centre on the African stage once again.
As Egypt prepare for another AFCON run, all eyes will be on Salah – and now, his feet as well. Whether the boots bring him silverware remains to be seen, but one thing’s clear: the Egyptian King will be turning heads before he even scores.
